Return and refund policy

At Cozy Home Store, we want you to be able to order online with confidence. Below you can read how returns, withdrawal and refunds work.

14-day statutory cooling-off period

As a consumer, you generally have the right to withdraw from an online purchase without giving a reason.

The cooling-off period runs until 14 days after the day on which you, or a third party designated by you who is not the carrier, receives the product.

If an order consists of several products that are delivered separately, the cooling-off period starts after receipt of the last product or part.

Notifying us of a return or withdrawal

If you wish to exercise your right of withdrawal, clearly notify us within the cooling-off period by email at info@cozyhomestore.nl.

Please preferably include:

• your name;
• the order number;
• the product you wish to return.

You are not required to give a reason for the return.

After your notification, we will provide the correct return instructions.

Return address

Returns are processed depending on the product and fulfilment partner. Therefore, always contact us before returning a product.

Time limit for sending the product back

After you have notified us that you are exercising your right of withdrawal, you have a further 14 days to send the product back.

You are in time if you dispatch the product before the end of this period.

Return shipping costs

If you return a product because you changed your mind, the direct cost of returning it is your responsibility. The cost depends on the carrier you choose and the size and weight of the parcel.

If a product was delivered incorrectly, arrived damaged or is defective, please contact us first. Where the issue is our responsibility, we will provide an appropriate solution without leaving you unfairly responsible for return costs.

Condition of the returned product

During the cooling-off period, you may inspect and assess the product as you would be able to do in a physical store.

You are only liable for any reduction in value if the product has been used beyond what is necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning.

Where reasonably possible, package the product carefully and completely, preferably in its original packaging.

Products for which the right of withdrawal does not apply

For certain products, the law may provide an exception to the right of withdrawal.

This may include, for example:

• products made specifically to your specifications or that are clearly personal in nature;
• sealed products that are not suitable for return for reasons of health protection or hygiene once the seal has been broken after delivery.

An exception is applied only when it legally applies to the product concerned.

Your statutory rights remain fully applicable if a product is defective, damaged or does not conform to the agreement.

Refunds

If you validly withdraw from the entire order, we will refund all payments received from you for that order, including any cost of our least expensive standard delivery method.

We do not have to refund additional costs resulting from your choice of a more expensive delivery method.

We will make the refund no later than 14 days after receiving your notice of withdrawal.

We may withhold the refund until we have received the product, or until you have provided proof that you have sent it back, whichever occurs first.

The refund will be made using the same payment method used for the original payment, unless we expressly agree otherwise. We do not charge a fee for the refund.

Damaged, incorrect or defective product

If you received a damaged, incorrect or defective product, contact us as soon as possible at info@cozyhomestore.nl.

Please include your order number and, if possible, clear photographs of the issue. We will review the situation and provide an appropriate solution.

This return policy does not affect your statutory rights or statutory guarantee.
